Looking backMilestones in a successful company history: 1988In 1988, EBERLE Medizintechnik GmbH was established for the sole purpose of manufacturing medical devices. The company manufactured the dental implants developed by Dr. Axel Kirsch, a dentist and oral surgeon practicing in Filderstadt, Germany. 1994After several years of successful cooperation, Dr. Kirsch took over the company (which has operated under the name ALTATEC Medizintechnische Elemente GmbH & Co. KG since 1995). The name ALTATEC is composed of the Latin words “altus“ (high, elevated, the highest) and “tec“ (technology). 1999At the end of 1999, CAMLOG was launched, and the first products were marketed under the ALTATEC brand. Initially only the CYLINDER-LINE and SCREW-CYLINDER-LINE implants were sold. 2000The ROOT-LINE, the Group’s third implant line, was introduced. The CorticoFix Set, the Sinus Set and the Osteotomes were also sold from 2000. 2002In April the SCREW-LINE was launched with five different diameters and four lengths. As with all CAMLOG implants, it had the unique implant-to-abutment connection. With time, SCREW-LINE would become our most successful product line. 2004ALTATEC Medizintechnische Elemente GmbH & Co. KG was taken over by a group of investors, and CAMLOG Holding AG was founded in Switzerland. ALTATEC GmbH & Co. KG (today ALTATEC GmbH) continues to operate as a production company. Two sales companies were founded: CAMLOG Vertriebs GmbH in Germany and CAMLOG USA Ltd. in the USA. |
